Magma Daemon Guide

Magma Devourer

For many years, magma has simmered beneath the depths of the earth, giving birth to various forms of Magma Daemons. The Devourer is constantly searching for food in the Blazing Rift, ready to devour everything in sight, alive or dead.

Magma Devastator

For many years, magma has simmered beneath the depths of the earth, giving birth to various forms of Magma Daemons. With a shell made of the hardest rock and fists of blazing stone, the Devastator’s fury awaits all creatures who dare step into the Blazing Rift.

The Blazing Rift has rarely been visited since ancient times, with its abnormally high temperature rendering it desolate and lifeless. It is highly rare for such a large amount of energy, usually held deep within the earth, to be exposed to the surface; this allows the fires in the Blazing Rift to burn eternally. Even from thousands of miles away, one can still hear occasional loud noises coming from the Rift; people often wonder if they are the roars of beasts.

Magma Manipulator

For many years, magma has simmered beneath the depths of the earth, giving birth to various forms of Magma Daemons. The Manipulator can control the flow of lava for its own use, dancing gracefully in the crimson surge. Any enemy deceived by this illusion will realize the truth all too late.

Magma’s irritable and unstable nature has led it to be considered by some as an ancient type of magic. The earliest extant sightings of Magma Daemons can be found in a Daralan tale, which even predates the establishment of the Vale Society: “The fire bloomed under the feet of a graceful swaying human figure, and a red mist rose up around them”. From this, it can be inferred that the Magma Manipulator has been around for over a thousand years.

Magma Reaper

For many years, magma has simmered beneath the depths of the earth, giving birth to various forms of Magma Daemons. The Reaper can swing its scythe as fast as the wind. Its prey will fall into hell before it realizes what’s happening, without a chance to feel pain or struggle.

Scholars of the Vale Society have tried to explain the birth of the Magma Daemons, but unfortunately, there are too few records to refer to. They speculate that the magma’s primal energy has the ability to deform souls and entities, sublimating the spirits of those long buried deep in the ground. This is the most widely-accepted hypothesis in the Society.
